GSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2024: Notification out for 4304 Vacancies

GSSSB Recruitment 2024 – Educational Qualification:

(1) Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree obtained from any university established or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act, or any other educational institution recognized as such by the University Grants Commission under the UGC Act-1956, or a Deemed University declared under the UGC Act-1956, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India. (2) Knowledge of computer applications as per the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967, declared by the government, is required. (3) Proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi or both languages is mandatory. Please refer to the Official Notification for detailed Educational Qualification requirements.

GSSSB Recruitment 2024 – Age Limit:

1. The age of the candidate shall be reckoned as of the last date mentioned in the advertisement, i.e., 31.01.2024.
2. As of 31.01.2024, the candidate’s age should not be less than 20 years and not more than 35 years. The age relaxation for candidates belonging to the Gujarat Civil Service classification and recruitment (General) rules-1967 will be applicable.

GSSSB Recruitment 2024 – Exam Pattern:

First Phase: Primary Examination (for Group – A and Group – B through Combined Examination) (CBRT Method)

1. Reasoning: 40 Marks
2. Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Marks
3. English: 15 Marks
4. Gujarati: 15 Marks Total: 100 Marks Candidates eligible for the Main Examination for Group – A and Group – B will undergo a competitive examination through Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) with multiple sessions.

The examination will consist of 100 questions, each carrying one mark. The total duration of the examination will be 60 minutes. For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.

Differently-abled candidates will be provided an additional 20 minutes per hour in case of a computer-based test.

The primary examination is only for screening purposes, and the marks obtained will contribute to the final selection list.

Second Phase – Main Examination: After the Primary Examination, qualified candidates will be selected for the Main Examination for Group – A and Group – B. The Main Examination will be conducted using the Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) method with multiple sessions.

Minimum Qualifying Standard: Candidates must score a minimum of 40 marks in each of the Primary and Main Examinations. The lowest qualifying standard (Qualifying Standard) may vary in case of any contingencies.
